Frequently Asked Questions, Answered!

Our dedicated Pensacola dental team aims to always be there for our patients – it’s one of the reasons we’re a top-rated office in your area! So, if you have a question about your oral health (even if you haven’t scheduled an appointment yet), please don’t hesitate to give us a call. Otherwise, you can continue your research by learning the answers to frequently asked questions we hear from our patients.

How much does a dental checkup & cleaning cost in Pensacola?

In the United States, the average price of a checkup and cleaning is between $200 and $350. Of course, there are several factors that will impact whether or not that’s the price you pay. For example, if you have dental insurance, then there is a good chance your benefits will cover the entire cost of preventive services like these. Even if you don’t have dental insurance, we have a membership plan that can lower your out-of-pocket expenses significantly. In short, if you want to learn more about the cost of your care, don’t just guess; call our team so we can give you a precise estimate and review the financial solutions available to you.

How can I make a same-day appointment with a dentist?

For the highest chances of getting into our office for treatment the very same day, we recommend calling us ASAP. This will ensure that we can immediately learn more about your situation, look at our schedule, and determine if that’s possible. Please keep in mind that some treatments require more planning, such as tooth extractions and dental implants. Even in those cases, we will do our best to see you for at least an exam. That way, we can start the process of restoring the look, function, and health of your smile.

What do you do if you can't afford a dentist?

It’s common for patients to be concerned about the cost of their dental care. If you’re in the same boat, don’t hesitate to talk to our team directly. From there, we can review all of the financial solutions available to you in-depth and answer any questions you have after that.

Important note: keeping your teeth and gums healthy is largely about prevention, which is why routine visits to our office for a checkup and cleaning are crucial. Skipping treatments like these may seem like a good choice for your wallet in the short-term, but it can result in costly restorative and cosmetic dentistry down the line. Therefore, the best thing to do is have an open conversation with our team about the price so we can help!

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

Becoming a licensed dentist requires immense dedication and years of schooling, starting with an undergraduate degree. From there, the aspiring dentist needs to be accepted to dental school, and there are only 67 accredited ones in the United States. After three years of classroom and hands-on training, they will earn their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS). Of course, their educational journey is long from over. To maintain their license, they need to pursue continuing education annually as well.
