Concern #1: TMJ Disorders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Your jaw is anchored to your skull via two sliding-disc joints, known as the temporomandibular joints (or TMJ), which are located just below your ears on each side of your face. Under normal circumstances, they provide your mandible with a full range of motion: you can shift your jaw forwards and back, left to right, or open and close your mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if you grind your teeth, sustained an injury, or have dental misalignments, you might be putting added pressure on these sensitive joints, which can cause them to become painfully inflamed. This condition, known as TMJ disorder, or TMD, can affect one or both sides of your face. Concern #2: Tooth Decay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
